As an ICT teacher, you might provide students with disabilities Integrated Co-Teaching services, meaning that students with disabilities are educated with age appropriate peers in the general education classroom.
You will also have the following responsibilities:
- Provide access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction to meet students’ individual needs.
- Work in partnership with one or more teachers to plan rigorous classroom lessons to help students meet their goals.
- Provide services to a student for all subjects or on an individual subject basis. When Integrated Co-Teaching is recommended for less than the full school day, the student’s IEP must indicate the specific subjects or instructional areas in which the student requires Integrated Co-Teaching services.
